The Preparatory Stage under NEP 2020 covers Classes III to V and is designed for children between the ages of 8 and 11. At this stage, learning moves beyond the foundational years towards more interactive, discovery-based and experiential learning.
Our approach encourages students to explore concepts through activities, discussions, stories, projects, experiments and real-life experiences. The focus is on developing strong foundational knowledge while nurturing curiosity, creativity, communication and problem-solving skills.
In accordance with the vision of NEP 2020, students are encouraged to learn through active participation rather than depending solely on rote memorisation. Classroom experiences are designed to help children understand concepts, apply their knowledge and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
During the Preparatory Stage, we focus on developing knowledge, skills and positive learning habits through:
We create an engaging and child-friendly learning environment where students are encouraged to participate, ask questions, explore new ideas and learn collaboratively.
The Preparatory Stage follows an integrated and learner-centred approach. Subjects and concepts are connected with everyday experiences so that students can understand how their learning applies to the world around them.
Assessment at this stage should support learning and help identify each child's progress and learning needs. We encourage regular feedback and assessment through classroom activities, projects, participation, observation and other appropriate learning experiences.
We aim to make learning meaningful, engaging and enjoyable. Through the NEP 2020 vision, we nurture curious and confident learners who can communicate effectively, think creatively, solve problems and apply their knowledge in everyday life.
